Cybermemories is an album in which composer Cameron Lam and EWI player Peter Smith explore the musical possibilities of the Akai EWI (electronic wind instrument). The music merges the fun energy of early video game music and contemporary classical music. The album art needed to reflect the video game theme of the music and follow the idea of ‘memory being uploaded’. Initial concepts looked at creating a cyborg that is plugged into a great awareness. I wanted to show layers, an outer-shell being peeled away to reveal something inhuman. You can find the album here:
